Reflection on What I've Learn...
This week we learn many things about the articles. Like all the parts and stages.
Articles are subdivided in six sections:
- Abstract
- Introduction
- Method
- Results
- Discussion/Conclusion
- List of references
Abstract it´s a summary of the study and have five stages:
1. Background information
2.Principal activity or purpose of the study and its scope
3.Methodology used
4.Most important results
5.Conclusion or recommendation
Introduction present the background to help to understand the investigation or study. It have
five stages :
- The Setting (generally accepted statements).

- Literature review (collection of references, or citations about previous works).
- Missing information.
- Purpose objective
- Value/Benefit
Method included eight information elemens:
•Overview of the experiment
•Sample/Population
•Location
•Restrictions/Limiting Conditions
•Sampling Technique
•Procedures
•Materials
•Variables
•Statistical Treatment
*But not all of these elements always are present (except the procedures and materials).
Results are the description and analysis of the findings in the investigation. All of this represented with numbers, tables, graphics, diagrams and text.
Discussion is the interpretation of the findings. Moves reader back from specific information reported to a more general view of how the findings should be interpreted.
List of references are a set of scientific publications cited in the document.
